Scout Tee

2:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Learn to sew your own clothes! Many people are intimidated by the idea of sewing clothing, but it’s not as scary as it seems! This beginner-friendly, entry-level apparel sewing class is going to take your wardrobe to a whole new level!  This pattern is perfect for beginners and a huge favorite for apparel sewers. Anyone can sew a Scout Tee, and anyone can wear one! It’s a basic tee fitted in the shoulders and sleeves but relaxed through the rest of the body. With no buttons or zippers or complicated fitting, this tee is really simple to sew!

This pattern is great and offers sizes, 0-18 in one pattern.  Annette will teach you how to mix and match different sizes to make a shirt custom shaped for you.  Instead of finishing edges with a serger, this pattern will teach you how to finish edges with the same fabric made into a bias tape.  Once we have determined your sizing, you can use this pattern over and over again with different fabric types and achieve a completely different look.  This pattern is a baseline, now how will you embellish the garment?  Peter Pan collar, longer waistline in the back or flutter sleeves?!?

After this class, you’ll be able to make a tee for anyone sized teen to adult with confidence and grace!  You’ll be so proud when you wear your new tee, especially when you see the look on people’s faces when you tell them you made it yourself!
